Quake of magnitude 4.5 to 5 hit Cyprus

 

An earthquake was reported a little after 2 pm on Monday, the Cyprus Geological Survey Department said in a message on Twitter.

It said that the quake occurred  at 14.09. Its epicentre was in the sea 53km southeast of Limassol at a depth of 10km.

It gave the magnitude of 4.5 to 5.

There were no immediate reports of damage. The quake was also felt in the capital, Nicosia.
