TRNC Electricity Authority (Kib-Tek) introduces new tariff for subscribers

Electricity subscribers in north Cyprus can now save up to 35 percent in electricity consumption with the new tariff introduced by the TRNC Electricity Authority (Kib-Tek). 

The new tariff which comes in three stage schedule will be launched on April, 1. The new plan offers a great advantage for the country and it's residents. 

According to the new plan, subscribers will now be able to use electricity at three different rates of 0.6508 TL, 0.9873 TL and 1.2908 TL on week days and on weekends and on holidays, kilowatts charge will drop further and become 0.6308 TL, 0.9873 TL and 1.2708TL.

Home electricity consumers who decides to do home work such as the use of washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, ironing, water motor and heating to night will be given additional 15% discount under 300 kilowatt-hours.

All consumers will be transferred to the triple tariff on April, 1, 2019. However, consumers will be able to return to the current one-time tariff at the end of the first month.

Details of the triple tariff are as follows;

Week days, 
-0.9873 TL per KWh from 7:00am - 5:00pm
-0.6508 TL per KWh from 10:00pm -7:00am.

Weekends
-1.27080.TL per KWh from 6:00pm - 10:00pm and 12:00am - 7:00am
-0.9873 TL per KWh from 10:00pm -12:00am and 7:00am - 7:00pm.
