Six of 12 people arrested in connection with the murder of Augustine released from detention

Six out of the 12 people arrested in connection with the murder of a Nigerian student who was found dead in Haspolat on Friday last week were released from detention on Wednesday.

25-year-old Walshak Augustine Ngok was found dead in a forest area in Haspolat on Friday, April, 19. 12 people were later arrested in connection with the incident in two separate operations in Gonyeli on Sunday, April 21. 

One of those arrested and identified as Chrstopher Ezeh, 29 confessed to killing Augustine and taking his body to a forest area.

Those released are Clement Ozuman Manufur, (Nigerian), Chinoso Chiemelie Onue (Nigerian), Prience Ogunmanam (Nigerian), Gabriel Kelechi Muukwe (Nigerian), Christian Chukwuka Ezani (Nigerian), and Ifeanyichukwu Valentine Eze (Nigerian).

They were found to have no connection with the murder.

The other 6 including the prime suspect will be brought to court on Thursday.
