Suspect confessed to killing Augustine, they had a fight in Girne and killed him when he returned home

The heart of men is desperately wicked. Having an issue with a roommate, flatmate, fellow student or friends is not enough reasons to take their life without remorse. Whatever it is can be settled amicably without it spilling out of the closet. After a fight in a public place, it continued at home, then murder. But why! Maybe you shared clothes, food, shoes, personal items with this person who suddenly became an enemy... You forgot that there is God!

Police on Tuesday took the prime suspect arrested for the murder of Nigerian student who was found dead in a forest area in Haspolat on Friday last week to the scene of the incident in Bosphorus.

The 29-year-old suspect who was brought to a Lefkosa court on Monday along 11 others confessed to committing the murder and was taken to the apartment in Lavinum, Bosphorous where the victim was killed, under heavy security.

The suspect gave the police a detained description of how he committed the crime and according to him, he had a fight with Augustine over a dispute at a restaurant in Girne where they battered each other and later killed him when he returned home. 

The pair fought with the police who was called to the restaurant but later got home to continue.

He admitted to killing Augustine Walsak Ngok who was his roommate after he made him unconscious on the night of the murder. 

Police took over an hour investigating the scene and collected a number of element from the home as evidence. 

He told police that he dragged an unconscious Augustine by the leg down the stairs of their apartment and kept punching him. 

Investigation revealed that the accused had lived in the country for eight years without a student status. Augustine who was killed also appeared to be a student in the country but have no student record.

After committing the crime, the accused took the victim in car through the Lefkosa high way to the Tashkent-Haspolat forest area and left the body there.

Police were able to track the vehicle through camera images.

According to Turkish Cypriot media, Yeniduzen, a reliable source said the accused kept punching and hitting the unconscious Augustine in the car while he he took him to the site where he left him dead at about 4:00am on Friday. 

The accused also confessed to threatening his friends who knew about the incident. 

He told police that three of those arrested in connection with the incident had tired to sort help from another friend in other to take him to the hospital.
