Egyptian national arrested in north Cyprus for illegal residency

An Egyptian national without a resident permit in North Cyprus has been arrested and taken to court.

The accused identified only as M.S.M.S was identified and arrested as an illegal resident in Lefkosa on Tuesday, June, 18. He was taken to a Lefkosa court on Wednesday, June, 19.

The accused has been residing in the TRNC since January, 16, 2016.

The court ordered that he be detained for two days pending investigation.
