Panic in Famabgusta beach as boat capsized, everyone swam to safety

There was panic at a Famagusta beach on Sunday afternoon when a boat capsized off the beach and put the life of its occupants at risk of drowning.

The incident happened at about 1:00pm between Silver and Glapsides Beach in Famagusta.

The five occupants of the catamaran were able to swim to safety.

No one was injured in the incident.

The reason for the incident could not be determine at the time of the report.
