Prisoner with AIDs died in Lefkosa Hospital

A prisoner at the Lefkosa prison who was discovered to have AIDs and then take to the Lefkosa State hospital has died.

The prisoner was taken to the hospital two weeks ago after falling ill and excessive weight loss. Tests at the hospital later showed that he has AIDs..

According to report, the prisoner knew of his health situation but chose to keep it a secret for five years.

He died from the disease on Saturday.
