Two Nigerians arrested in Ayia Napa, south Cyprus for drugs offenses

Two Nigerians were reportedly arrested by Greek Cypriot police in Ayia Napa, south Cyprus on Friday last week for drugs offenses.

According to the report by Greek Cypriot daily, Alithia, the two accused were caught with a total of 31 grams of marijuana in 16 packs.

They reportedly carried the banned substance from north Cyprus to south Cyprus

They told police that they were saving marijuana for use, not for sell.

The newspaper said that the accused were taken to court and given a 5-day detention order.

The report also mentioned that the Greek Narcotics Police tracked the drug gang in Ayia Napa.
