Kanye west talks about how the republican party freed the slaves and the backlash he received for supporting trump during his Sunday service in salt lake city

Kanye West held his Sunday Service in Salt Lake City, and during the service, Kanye said a few things that are capturing the attention of many.

Hunter Schwarz of Yello Zine was present during the service, and he caught some clips of Kanye’s speech, and one of the things he talked about during his speech is how the Republican Party is responsible for freeing the slaves.

He said, 

Abraham Lincoln was the Whig Party—that’s the Republican Party that freed the slaves.

He continued to talk about the backlash he received while publicly showing his support for Trump.

Ye continued, 

But for a year people want to call me a coon because I chose my right. In America, we got the right, right? We got our own right to our opinions right? You Black, so you can’t like Trump. I ain’t never made a decision based on my color. That’s a form of slavery, mental slavery.
