TRNC Work amnesty come into force

The work Amnesty law which was introduced for unregistered workers in the country has entered force.

The amnesty which covers only workers who are in the country without a work permit. 

Those who fail apply to the work Amnesty until February 16, 2020 will be subject to very strict inspections.

The commencement of the amnesty was announced in the TRNC Official Gazette on November 19, 2019 after it was unanimously passed in Parliament and signed by the President. 

The amnesty covers a period of 90 days in which application should be made.

During the amnesty period, inspectors will continue to inspect work places for informal workers.

Applicants can visit csgb.gov.ct.tr for online registration. 

Applicants are required to pay the Minimum Wage of 3,400 TL for the amnesty at the Immigration Desk; the work permit seal will be received within 40 days after receiving the immigration approval.
