Nigerian student passed away in Lefkosa State hospital after battle with kidney failure

VOIS Cyprus has announced the death of a Nigerian, Mr.  Mohammed Michael who passed away at the Lefkosa state hospital on Saturday evening after falling ill.

In a condolence message on facebook, VOIS wrote:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce to you the passing away of Mr. Mohammed Michael Saliu.

Michael passed away yesterday night at the General Hospital in Nicosia at around 8pm. He had been rushed to the hospital earlier yesterday by his friends, but despite the efforts of the Doctors, was unable to make it.

Michael whom we had raised some money for this year, was undergoing treatment for kidney failure. He was improving and so this news is shocking to all of us.

At this moment, we ask you to please put his family and friends in your prayers.

We also want to thank all those who contributed financially and emotionally for Michael’s healthcare. Please take heart!

Other details will be communicated much later.

RIP Michael! 💔
