Woman arrested in prostitution raid in Lefkosa
A woman has been detained after she was arrested in a prostitution operation carried out in an apartment in Lefkosa, North Cyprus.
The operation was organized at about 2:30pm on Saturday, January, 20 at an apartment in Lefkosa by the TRNC Anti-Corruption Branch (CÖŞ) teams affiliated to the Lefkosa Police Department.
The accused was brought to a court in Lefkosa on Sunday for prostitution charges.
Police accused the suspect of encouraging and aiding prostitution which is regarded as a crime in the country.
Two men from Famagusta who were provided for 3 women for the purpose of money were identified in the bedroom of the house.
The suspect was detained for three days for investigation.
