Application deadline for work amnesty in North Cyprus ends on Monday 17 February

The "Work Amnesty" program put in place by the TRNC Ministry of Labor and Social Security to register informal workers in the country will end on Monday, February 17.

The Law on Foreigners and Immigration (Amendment), which was prepared with the aim of eliminating the problems occurring in the national economy, social security system and working life due to the informal workforce, was introduced on 19 November 2019.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, within the scope of the Foreigners and Immigration (Amendment) Law, people who have been within the boundaries of the TRNC and have come to the country with a pre-permit and have not been granted a work permit, who have become unregistered due to not being able to obtain a work permit or a business permit, will be able to benefit from the amnesty until Monday, February 17, by paying a fine of minimum wage (3 thousand 400 TL), to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security until the end of working hours.

Those who want to learn about amnesty can get detailed information from csgb.gov.ct.tr, by contacting the Ministry of Labor and Social Security via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, by applying to the Regional Departments of the Labor Office or by calling the ALO 102 Notification Line for free.
