Nine new cases of Covid-19 reported in south Cyprus

Nine new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in southern Cyprus on Thursday evening, bringing the total number of cases in the country (south Cyprus) to 67.

Six of the new confirmed cases concerns people who had come into contact with a person who had previously tested positive. 

The other three new cases are people who returned from Bulgaria, Italy and the UK.

According to the Cyprus health ministry, 37 of the 67 confirmed cases of coronavirus in south Cyprus, relate to people who had come into contact with previously confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, northern Cyprus has recorded only 20 cases bringing the total number of cases island wide to 87.
