Pregnant woman with coronavirus fights for her life and her baby (video)
A pregnant beautician in a desperate fight to save herself and her baby has made an emotional plea to others after contracting coronavirus.
Karen Mannering, 39, from Herne Bay, Kent, captured a video of herself from inside a hospital after developing pneumonia in both lungs as a result of the virus.
Ms Mannering, who is 26 weeks pregnant, warned people not to go outside and adhere to social distancing rules, saying she is 'fighting' for herself and her baby.
The beautician said she 'doesn't know' where she caught the virus from but is 'very ill'.
Hot-tees Tanning Beauty and Hair Salon, Ms Mannering's workplace, posted in a statement on its Facebook page: 'To all of our customers at Hot-tees we regret to inform you that one of our members have been tested positive for Covid-19.
Ms Mannering, who is 26 weeks pregnant, warned people not to go outside and adhere to social distancing rules, saying she is 'fighting' for herself and her baby.
