Two Swedish tourists in North Cyprus quarantined for fear of coronavirus

Two tourists from Sweden aged 85 and 94 were quarantined at the Lefkosa State Hospital In North Cyprus on suspicion that they may have contacted the deadly coronavirus.

The two tourists, 83 and 94-year-old women came into the country from Sweden and stayed in different hotels in Famagusta.

The TRNC ‘health ministry’ said one of the tourists, an 83-year-old woman was tested after displaying symptoms. Results were negative for the virus, but she was kept quarantined for precautionary measures in hospital in northern Nicosia.

The second tourist, a 94-year-old woman was staying in Kyrenia when she showed symptoms. She has been put in quarantine and her test results were being evaluated.
