2 new coronavirus cases confirmed in North Cyprus

Two new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in north Cyprus on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases there to 94.

TRNC Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Pilli made the announcement on Tuesday. 

The two new cases were confirmed from 138 tests carried out on Tuesday. 

One of the new cases was from Beyarmudu and the other from Lapta Region. Pilli said, “Both of them are contact cases. 

A total of 3246 total tests have been carried out so far with 94 confirmed cases. 

A total of 44 patients have been discharged. 47 are undergoing treatment and 1 in intensive care unit.

A 74-year old TRNC citizen died from the virus earlier on Tuesday, the third causality in the country, the other two were German tourists.
