One case of coronavirus confirmed in North Cyprus

One person tested positive for coronavirus in Northern Cyprus on Monday, bringing the total number of cases there to 92.

TRNC Minister of Health, Ali Pilli made the announcement on Monday.

A total number of 323 tests were conducted on Monday with one coming out positive for the virus.

The confirmed case is from Lapta.

According to the ‘minister,’ 7 people, all Turkish Cypriot were discharged on Monday.

A total of 3108 tests have been carried out so far in the TRNC, 43 people have been discharged and 47 individuals were undergoing treatment for the virus, and two people were in intensive care, with one of them being given respiratory support by a ventilator.

Two people have died so far in North Cyprus

Another report say individuals who were on the same flight with the three cases reported on Sunday, will have to remain in quarantine for another day awaiting new test results.

The cases included two Turkish Cypriot students and one seven-year-old child, who arrived from the UK on March 21.
