Seven new cases of coronavirus confirmed in north Cyprus on Friday, total number reaching 88

Seven new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in northern Cyprus on Friday, bringing the total number of cases there to 88.

This was made known in a live broadcast by TRNC Minister of Health, Ali Pilli on Friday.

The seven new cases were confirmed from about 321 tests carried out on Friday. Three of those cases were from Lapta and four in the Karpasia area.  

Two people have died in the TRNC so far.

A total of 2,327 tests have been carried out so far with 88 confirmed cases while 29 patients have been discharged. Treatment of 57 patients continues and 1 person is in intensive care.

The distribution of patients by region in the TRNC is as follows:

GazimaÄŸusa: 3
Beyarmudu: 3
Girne: 2
Lapta: 9
Alsancak 4
Karşıyaka: 2
Ä°skele – Karpaz: 22
