Turkey's coronavirus death toll reaches 1,643 with 74,193 total cases
Turkey's confirmed cases of the coronavirus increased by 4,801 in the past 24 hours, and 125 more people have died, taking the death toll to 1,643, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on Thursday.
Turkey's total confirmed cases stood at 74,193, he said. Some 1415 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, Koca added.
The total number of recovered cases stood at 7,089 as of April 16.
Turkey is currently treating 1,854 patients in intensive care units, along with 1,040 intubated patients, according to the infographic Koca shared on Twitter.
