Turkish Airlines suspends all international flights until May 1 due to coronavirus

Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that all international flights have been stopped until 1 May.

In a statement made on the website on Wednesday, April, 1, the airline said the change were made due to coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

In the statement, it said only domestic flights to Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Samsun, Trabzon and Van will be operated on a limited basis and all other domestic flights are suspended until May 1, 2020.

Dear passengers,
We have made significant changes to our flights due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Starting from March 27, 2020, 23:59 (UTC +3), all our international flights are suspended until May 1, 2020.
Only domestic flights to Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Samsun, Trabzon and Van will be operated on a limited basis and all other domestic flights are suspended until May 1, 2020.
As of March 29, 2020, 06:00 (UTC +3), all passengers on domestic flights are required to submit an official Travel Permit Document. Passengers without an official Travel Permit Document will not be able to buy a ticket and will not be allowed to board the aircraft even if they have purchased their ticket before.
Based on the notice published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ticket sales via our website, mobile applications and call center will require the verification of the official Travel Permit Document assigned to the Turkish ID No. Passengers without an official Travel Permit Document can find out the terms on how to obtain the permit and how to apply from the notice published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Check-in processes via our website and mobile applications will be on hold until May 1, 2020, and passengers holding an official Travel Permit Document may go to the check-in counters at the airport together with the issued official Travel Permit Document in order to check in for their flights.
Passengers holding an official Travel Permit Document are required to be at the airport at least 2 hours before the departure time of their flight and to enable the efficient processing of travel permits, passengers without an official Travel Permit are required to be at the airport at least 4 hours before the departure time of their flight.
For domestic flights at this time, a fixed fare of 325 TRY for one-way flights and 549 TRY for connecting flights will be applied. Please click for details on domestic flight tariffs.
