Five new case of coronavirus reported in north Cyprus on Wednesday

Five new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Northern Cyprus on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases there to 105.

Speaking on the general situation of Covid-19 in the country, TRNC Minister of Health, Ali Pilli, said 176 tests were carried out on Wednesday with 5 confirmed cases. 

Two of the five new cases concerns an 82 and 78-year-old couple living in Iskele, one from from Güzelyurt, one from Alsancak and another who was repatriated from Turkey and was in isolation in a quarantined hotel in Girne.was in quarantine.

One of the positive case was a person who was under surveillance in dormitories in Güzelyurt, and the other case was an employee who was previously serving and kept under surveillance at the Riverside Hotel. 

So far, 4736 tests have been carried out in north Cyprus with 105 confirmed cases and four causalities.

Eight patients who had recovered were discharged today.
