Turkish Airlines has started selling tickets for Istanbul-Ercan flights for dates starting May, 28

Turkish Airlines has started selling tickets for Istanbul-Ercan return flights for dates starting from, May, 28.

TRNC Minister of Public Works and Transport Tolga Atakan made the revelation when speaking to local media, Havadis on Thursday.

Atakan said that this does not mean that there will be a flight on the specified date for now.

Turkish Airlines (THY) last month announced that all domestic and international flights were stopped until May, 28, 2020 in line with the measures taken due to the coronavirus outbreak.

No new announcement was made as to whether the decision would be extended or not, however, THY started to sell tickets for Istanbul-Ercan reciprocal flights after 28 May.

Atakan also said not only Turkish Airlines but also many airlines in the world had been selling tickets for a certain date.

He stated that the start of the ticket sale does not mean that there will be a flight on the specified date for now.
