EMU ranked among the best young universities announced by Times Higher Education

This year, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has been included in the list of the best young universities in the world ,the list comprises of universities that have been operating for less than 50 years ,the list was  announced by Times Higher Education (THE) published in England.

According to the written statement made by EMU, they were ranked in the range of 251-300.  The ranking allows younger institutions to be compared among themselves in terms of publication, citation, quality of education and internationalization.

Two  universities from Southern Cyprus managed to get on the list.

Addressing young universities under the age of 50 in terms of quality of education, scientific research, bibliographic references, international visibility and industrial income, Times Higher Education (THE) announced its best Young Universities Ranking from its official website.

The statement made by EMU said;

The same performance scales were used in the general THE World List in the ranking. As it is known, EMU is the only university to enter the list from the TRNC by preserving its position in the 801-1000 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2020 World University Rankings, which includes only 1376 universities among more than 25 thousand universities.

Making a statement on the subject, EMU Rector.  Dr.  In the letter sent to them through “THE” Editor, Aykut Hodja,the rector  expressed his pride in receiving the information that EMU once again took place in the rankings

Underlining that EMU is a world-class educational institution, Prof.  Dr.  He emphasized that this is evidenced by the accreditations obtained and this success is an indicator of the importance given to quality by the institution.

Stating that success is never a coincidence and EMU continues to grow and develop day by day.

EMU rector stated that EMU aims to be the leader on the island as a university and one of the best in the world.  He also thanked all the teachers who contributed to EMU's success.
