Mexico police arrest man with gun and bullets hidden inside sandwich (photos)

A 35-year-old man will most likely lose his appetite for committing crime while he serves his jail sentence in Mexico.

Police arrested the man in Mexico City last Friday after he was caught hiding a pistol inside a sandwich.

Cops made the shocking discovery after they became suspicious of the nervous man while he stood in front of a metal detector at a bus station in the Gustavo A. Madero neighborhood.

This person was trying to pass with a weapon and useful bullets hidden inside a roll and wrapped in aluminum foil, with which he was trying to circumvent the detection arches, the police said.

The individual, whose name was not made public by the Mexico City police, had his belongings checked.

The cops discovered the gun stuffed in between the breads that were covered by an aluminum foil wrap.

The police also confiscated several bullets that were also hidden in the sandwich.

It is unknown if the suspect was planning to rob one of the public transportation buses that were scheduled to depart from the hub.
