Cost of living goes up in North Cyprus

The cost of living in the TRNC went up in June, the Statistics Department announced on Monday.

Life in the TRNC has become 1.01 per cent more expensive compared to the previous month.
The highest rise on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was recorded in the main category of restaurants and hotels.

A 3.2 per cent drop was recorded in prices of furniture, home appliances and real estate and a 2.86 per cent in clothing.

Prices of various goods and services, entertainment, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, health, education, utilities, fuel also dropped.

On average, the prices of 393 products went up while the prices of 127 goods and services went down.
