All passengers from Turkey to the TRNC must submit a PCR test result with QR code starting on Monday

The TRNC Ministry of Health has announced that passengers coming from Turkey to the TRNC must produce a negative coronavirus test with QR code or will be sent back.

The new rule will take effect from midnight, Monday, August, 23. Passengers who do not have a QR code on their documents will be sent back.

The explanation is as follows:

Passengers coming from the Republic of Turkey to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, must submit a negative PCR test result documentation with QR code starting from 00:00 hours on 08/23/2020.

The passengers who do not have a QR code in their documents will not be allowed to enter the TRNC and will be sent back.

In this context, it is necessary to check the PCR test results via QR codes before the passengers are taken to the plane / ship in order to avoid unjust treatment.

In cases where the QR code is not read, the last four digits of the Laboratory Number and Identification Number / Passport Number on the document can be checked from the Covid-19 test results unit on the e-pulse system.
