Boat with 19 Syrian refugees found ashore in north Cyprus

Nineteen Syrian refugees, including 5 men, 4 women and 10 children, were brought ashore in north Cyprus on Wednesday morning off the coast of Sadrazamköy and Karşıyaka as they try to enter the country illegally.

According to report, the boat was spotted around 8.30am. 

They were all taken to Lefkosa State hospital in Lefkosa where they were made to undergo PCR tests to check whether they were positive for coronavirus.

Following the test, they were transferred the Lapta Youth Camp.
