Eight new cases of coronavirus reported in Northern Cyprus on Monday

Eight new cases of covid-19 were reported in Northern Cyprus on Monday, bringing the total number of cases there to 179.   

TRNC Minister of Health Ali Pilli in an announcement on Monday, said 2,280 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 8 positive cases encountered.   

Pilli said that four of the positive cases arrived in the TRNC by air, three by sea and one person was a contact of a case that was found to be positive and have been kept under observation.

They have started receiving treatment at the State Hospital Quarantine Service in Lefkosa.
