Injured Nigerian student survived danger, driver released on bail

A Nigerian student who was hit by car while using the pedestrian crossing in Famagusta, north Cyprus is responding to treatment while the man responsible has been released from prison, to face trial in the future. 

The driver, Ahmet Kızan, 74 who was arrested and taken to court for hitting Abigail Abosede Komolafe while she was crossing a pedestrian crossing in Famagusta at about 10:40am on Saturday, August, 1 was released on bail of  75,000 Turkish Lira and two guarantors. He will be tried in the future.

Ahmet was charged for causing serious injury, dangerous driving, fast driving, driving without watching the pedestrians crossing, driving without a license.

Abigal survived the danger but suffered a fractured skull, bleeding in the brain and injuries in several parts of the body. She was hospitalized at the Lefkosa State hospital.
