Three men with secret plan to kill another arrested in north Cyprus

Three Turkish Cypriot men who secretly planned to kill another has been arrested and detained in Lefkosa.

The three accused were arrested on Monday and taken to court in Lefkosa on Tuesday.

According to report, one of the suspect, a 56-year-old man identified only as D.K and a second suspect, identified only as S.I, 29 "made a deal" with the third suspect, M.G, 27, to kill a person with a problem in return for money.

Police said the first two suspects were found to have paid 3,200 TL and 400 Euros to the third suspect M.G to 'kill' between July and August 2020.

Police stated that the third suspect D.K reported the development to the police and gave a confessional statement.  

Speaking in court, the third suspect D.K said, 

I went to the police of my own accord. Sadık and Ahmet were constantly calling and harassing me and asking for money. I'm wrong. I'm sorry, he said.

Judge Judge Temay SaÄŸer ordered them to be detained for 3 days so that the investigation can be carried out safely.
