Zim student beats up her Nigerian flatmate over house bill in Lefkosa

There was drama in court this week when two students, a Nigerian and a Zimbabwean started fighting over house bill.

According to report, the two girls living in the same apartment in Lefkosa had a dispute over payment of house bill totaling almost 3000TL.

The Nigerian is said to have accused her Zim flatmate of not paying her part of the bill. This resulted in a fight that led to the Zim student beating up the Nigerian.

The matter was taken to a court in Lefkosa and settled by the intervention of court officials before the case was to be registered with the court.

While in court premises, the Nigerian is said to have called out the Zim student's Nigerian boyfriend of having the money but refused to pay for his girlfriend.

The matter was however settled out of court.
