Cyprus Weather Today: Summer not going anytime soon as temperatures rises to 38 degrees

It seems the summer is not in a hurry go as the island's temperatures continue to edge up remaining at summer levels firmly in the upper 30s, 4 to 5 degrees above average for the time of year.

Temperatures are forecast to edge up further on Tuesday, rising to 38C inland, around 33C on the south and east coasts, 31C on the remaining coasts and 28C in higher mountains.

At night, temperatures will drop to 18 degrees inland.

Temperatures are expected to edge down starting from Thursday, but will remain above average.
