Two sets of Syrian migrants totaling 27 found illegally in the TRNC

At least 12 Syrian nationals including five men, four women and three children were found attempting to land on Kayalar beach in North Cyprus.

Police said coast guard teams spotted the refugees offshore Kayalar Village at around 6:00am on Saturday. 

They were arrested for trying to enter the country illegally and then taken to hospital for health checks.

Also, police said they intercepted 15 migrants the previous night in the Karşıyaka-Güzelyalı area are they try to enter the country illegally.

The report said that ten men, four women and one child were discovered at around midnight on Friday. An abandoned inflatable Zodiac-type dinghy was also discovered.
