7 Syrians arrested in Lefkosa for trying to enter south Cyprus illegally

A total of 7 Syrian nationals including two men, three women and two children, were detected and arrested in Zümrütköy, Lefkosa on Thursday for trying to enter south Cyprus illegally.

Police announced that the individuals had committed the crime of "violating first degree military forbidden zone".

The police also announced that a 21-year-old suspect only identified as M.A who was trying to help the aforementioned persons cross to the south, was detected and arrested within the "military forbidden zone".
