There will be no face to face education in schools until everyone is vaccinated - TRNC Minister of Education

Face-to-face education will not be held until primary schools, secondary schools and higher education teachers, as well as administrative staff and public transporters are vaccinated.

This was made known by the TRNC Minister of National Education and Culture Olgun Amcaoğlu on Friday.

Amcaoğlu, said a total of 20,500 people should be vaccinated in primary and secondary education, adding that approximately 10 thousand teachers and staff working in primary and secondary schools should be vaccinated first.

He emphasized that it is very important for them to complete the vaccination procedure and switch to face-to-face education. 

He said teachers including that of primary and secondary schools and higher education, administrative staff will be vaccinated in the second phase of the vaccination program.

The minister said the aim is to enable 53 thousand students in primary and secondary schools and 82 thousand students in universities participate in face-to-face education adding that the necessary action will be taken for them to be vaccinated quickly.

He said the vaccination procedure should be completed quickly, even to the drivers and assistants who transport students.
