TRNC coronavirus report shows group most affected by the virus

A surveillance report between the period of the f January, 1, 2021 and February, 11, 2021 issued by the TRNC Health Ministry’s Covid-19 Contact Tracing Team detailed the course of the Covid-19 infection.

According to the Surveillance report, 179 so called housewives was the most affected category followed by 159 students from primary and secondary and 100 pensioners completing the top 3 most infected categories till date.

According to the report Hotel and Casino employees with 96 cases became fourth and the unemployed with 83 cases became the fifth most affected categories.

76 pre-school children, 64 medical institution employees (including office cleaners), 55 private sector employees and 46 people working at restaurant and buffet like places were also affected from the infection. 

45 higher education students were infected too.

According to the Surveillance Report, the infection numbers for other occupational groups are as follows:

38 soldiers, 37 public employees, 37 food manufacturers and distributors, 33 municipal employees, 27 bank employees, 23 construction workers or directors, 23 supermarket/butcher workers, 23 teachers, 22 automotive workers, 14 police officers, 13 travelling workers, 12 beauty salon and hairdresser workers, 11 store or boutique workers, 11 educational institution workers, 10 union workers and 8 agriculture and livestock workers.
