TRNC extend curfew until Feb. 22, banks to open

The Government of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, has decided to extend the curfew imposed earlier in the month to February, 22 with reduced measures.

The new decision of partial curfew was announced by Prime Minister, Ersan Saner on Saturday, following almost 10 hours meeting by the Council of Minister.

With the new decision, there will be partial curfew from 5:00am, on Sunday, February, 15 until 5:00am, on Monday, February 22.

Accordingly,  

-Banks will be opened with a minimum of personnel next week.  

-Businesses that offer takeaway and online services will be able to open between 11:00am to 9:00pm. The public are advised to shop from the closest markets in order to minimize the risk of contamination.

-On Sunday, all businesses except bakeries and pharmacies will be closed.

-Entry and exit between districts will not be allowed next week, as the ban will continue for another week. 

-Permits granted by the District Police Boards as of February, 8 2021 will be valid.

The Minister said, the new decisions were based on scientific data.
