Cyprus International University, CIU opens course on Investment Appraisal

Cyprus International University through its Center for Applied Research in Business, Economics and Technology (CARBET), and in conjunction with Prof. Emeritus Glenn Jenkins, is offering a course in Financial Investment Appraisal for the spring 2021 semester. 

On completion of this course along with two further courses in “Economic and Stakeholder Analysis” and “Project Finance and Risk Management” the candidate will be eligible to apply for the professional Certificate Program on Investment Appraisal and Project Finance. 

This certificate program covers modern techniques of finance, financial modelling, applied economic analysis, risk analysis and risk management.

Course Study objectives include:
➢ Plan and assess all the aspects of investment projects
➢ Add value through the redesign of projects
➢ Prepare project financing agreements
➢ Design strategies to address stakeholder concerns 

About Prof. Glenn P. Jenkins
Professor of Economics at Queen’s University Canada, Institute Fellow Emeritus of Harvard University and past President of the Society for Benefit Cost Analysis.

In 1985, he founded the Program on investment Appraisal and Management at Harvard University, and was its Director from 1985 to 2000. Since 2000 he has been the Director of the JDINT’L Executive Programs at Queen’s University. Dr. Jenkins specializes in the fields of investment appraisal, and economic development. To date, he has served as a researcher or economic advisor to 26 governments and 11 international development institutions. He has an extensive publication record of 13 books, and over 200 professional studies and academic journal articles in these subject fields.
