New decisions announced, night curfew continues and restaurants can open on March, 10

Restrictions will not be imposed on most business as from Monday, March, 8 allowing restaurants to open for full service while night time curfew continues until Saturday, March, 13.

Following a meeting by the TRNC Council of Ministers on Friday, it was decided to expand its opening decisions as such, restrictions will not be imposed on businesses as of Monday, March 8.

Based on the previous gradual opening decisions, the decisions taken before were re-evaluated and the following decisions were made. 

-Partial curfew will continue from 9:00pm to 5:00am from Monday, March, 8 to Friday, March, 12 and on Saturday, March, 13, all businesses will be closed except for markets and mandatory needs.

-Markets will be opened between 8:00am and 8:00pm. (Including Saturdays).

-Retail and merchandising services (except supermarkets and workplaces supplying all sectors) will serve between 10:00am and 8:00pm.

-On Sunday, March 14, there will be a "Full Curfew" everywhere. All businesses except pharmacies and bakeries will be closed.

-Restaurants will be able to open outdoor areas as from Wednesday, March 10, while special education centers will open on Monday, March 8. Both sector should make sure PCR tests is done until this time.

-Movement from Lefkosa and Kyrenia to Lefke, Güzelyurt, Famagusta and Iskele will be carried out under the supervision of the district police board.

-Casino, bar, tavern, cafe, pools, massage parlors, sports halls etc. businesses outside will continue to serve.

Contactless sports and sports that are individual can open.

The validity period of those whose driving license has expired has been extended until March 31.

Closed Places;

-Theatre and movie theaters, show centers, concert halls, engagement-wedding halls, birthdays, religious festivals, casinos, bars, taverns, cafes-cafes, cafeterias, hookah cafes and halls, internet cafes, all kinds of game halls, indoor Children's playgrounds, clubs, swimming pools, massage parlors, spa, indoor sports halls, restaurants serving open buffets, bet offices, night clubs, clubs, Turkish baths, saunas.

Open Places;

All businesses and activities that are not stated implicitly may be open within the framework of the specified rules.

-It will be appropriate for people to meet their essential needs from businesses closest to their residence.

Open institutions;

Ministry of Health and health personnel, Ministry of Finance, police, fire brigade, municipality, civil defense, district police boards, Customs, Central Prison, BRTK, TAK, TÃœK, KIBTEK, Dairy Institution, press employees and / or yellow press card holders are indispensable for public universities. departments will be able to work at full capacity.
