TRNC plan to increase number of flight for more student arrival

The TRNC needs to increase the number of flights to the country to allow for more student arrival, said Minister of Public Works and Transport, Resmiye Canaltay.

Resmiye Canaltay made the statements during a TV program last week.

Providing information about the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on lifting the flight restrictions by publishing a new NOTAM Resmiye Canaltay said,

"Due to the mutated virus, the Health Board felt the need to make a new regulation regarding the arrival and departure to African countries and the categories of some countries were changed."

The students said they wanted to come to this country, "In order to be nominated for more flights in the future we need to increase the number of students from Turkey. All of these children are now coming from Istanbul. Our aim is to reduce the prices by reopening Istanbul and Adana flights. Our people have panicked due to the increase in the number of flights, but only 52 percent of the targeted passengers have arrived so far. This means that as many people as we feared did not come here. In order for schools to reach their students as soon as possible, both the Health Board and the Ministry of Transport, we need to provide better opportunities for more economical and safe flights.
