5 people injured in frightening accident in Lefkosa

Five people were injured in an accident that happened in Near East Boulevard, Lefkosa on Wednesday.

The accident that happened at 12:30pm on Wednesday involved a motorcycle driver and a BMW car.

A motorcycle rider, Yusuf Çağraş, 44 was waiting due to traffic congestion when he was hit by a car driven by 22-year-old Osama Talab Mob'd.

The driver of the vehicle, who could not stop after the crash, turned to the Near East Boulevard, and clashed with another car.

Five people were injured in the incident while one person sustained a serious injury.  The motorcycle rider was taken into intensive care unit after receiving first aid at the scene. His motorcycle was badly damaged

Among the inured was a 57-year-old woman and a 5-year-old child who were passengers in the vehicle. They were hospitalized with injuries. 

Police said 22-year-old Osama Talab Mob'd was extremely speedy and careless.
