Room mates fight in Lefkosa, injured each other

Two students will face trial in court after they were involved in a fight in Küçük Kaymaklı, Lefkosa that left one of them hospitalized. 

The incident between the two who are room mate happened at about 7:20pm on Tuesday. 

According to police report, the incident happened in the living room of their residence.

One of the suspects reportedly injured his room mate in the neck with a knife which resulted in about 4cm cut on the neck while the room mate responded by attacking him on his finger with a sharp object.

The injured roommate was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

They were both arrested after his release from the hospital and charged with fighting.

Police took the knife as an exhibit.

The reason for the fight was not disclosed by the police.

They will stay in detention for two days for the purpose of investigation.
