TRNC President Ersin Tatar condemned Israeli attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque

TRNC President Ersin Tatar, on Tuesday condemned the Israeli attacks on the al-Aqsa Mosque. 

Issuing a written statement, Tatar said 

I strongly condemn the ongoing Israeli attacks on the al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan and their operations against the Palestinians who wanted to worship there.

I urge Israel to immediately correct this mistake he added.

Expressing his condolences to the Palestinian people and the families of the 26 Palestinians including 9 children who lost their lives as a result of the Israeli attacks, he expressed the hope that the international community will act as soon as possible to end these unjust attacks.

Stressing that the Turkish Cypriot people always stood by the suffering Palestinians, Tatar said, 

With this opportunity I want to remind how important motherland and guarantor Turkey’s support for the TRNC is.
