Curfew continue from 12:00am to 5:00am on every day of the week

Night time curfew in the TRNC will continue from 12:00am to 5:00am on all days of the week.

The TRNC Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases, on Friday announced new measures that will be valid from Monday, June, 28, 2021.

In line with the Decisions taken by the Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases under the Infectious Diseases Law 45/2018, the Ministry of Health has decided to implement the following additional measure and decisions.

-Retail and merchandising services and all services / sectors not specified as closed will open for service between 8:30am and 9:00pm.

-Markets will be opened between 7:00am and 11:00pm everyday of the week.  

-Restaurants, cafes, patisseries, buffets and taverns will continue their services between 6:00am and 11:30pm.

-All transactions related to the supply chain will be carried out between 8:00am and 9:30pm.

-Higher Education Institutions can be opened within the scope of the plan to be made by the Ministry of National Education and Culture. Students coming from abroad will be able to enter according to the specified country entry criteria. (Note: Restrictions have not been lifted).

RULES IN OPEN PLACES;
-All institutions and organizations are to provide service in a normal working order within the framework of pandemic rules.     

-Businesses will make arrangements so that the customer and employee total will be 1 person in a maximum of 5 m2. In order to maintain the social distance, these enterprises will be made to place a notice at the entrances of the enterprises regarding the m2 areas and how many people can be in the enterprise, including employees.  

In addition, it is obligatory to apply hygiene and disinfection conditions both inside the workplace and at the entrances and exits, and it is the responsibility of the workplace to take and implement these measures. 

Full Decisions  
1. The criteria for entry into the country is stated as follows;

-The country colors specified in the criteria will be updated every week.      

-The current table regarding the color codes of countries will be applied by the committee from Monday, June, 28.

DARK RED;
- Persons who have traveled to these countries in the last 14 days are prohibited from entering the country.

-TRNC citizens will be able to enter the country provided they provide a negative PCR test result done in the last 72 hours and must quarantine for 14 days.

RED;
- Regardless of whether they are vaccinated, they will be able to enter the country with a negative PCR result done in the last 72 hours and must quarantine for 10 days.

ORANGE;
VACCINATION or DISEASE;
-Must have Negative PCR result done in the last 72 hours before the trip.
-Quarantine-free entry.

-UNVACCINED;
-Must have Negative PCR result done in the last 72 hours before the trip.
-Will quarantine for 7 days.

GREEN;
VACCINATION or DISEASE;
-No restrictions.

UNVACCINED;
-Must have Negative PCR result done in the last 72 hours before the trip.
Quarantine-Free entry.

GREY;
-Regardless of whether they are vaccinated, they will only be able to enter the country with a negative PCR done in the last 72 hours and must quarantine for 14 days.

GENERAL RULES;
PCR / LAMP / ANTIGEN tests can be applied at all entrance gates. Persons who will enter without a blackout in accordance with the above criteria will not be tested at the entrance gates.

-However, PCR tests will be applied to people from the above mentioned delta variant countries regardless of whether they have been vacinated or not.
 
VACCINATATED PERSON:
-Must have completed the vaccination program with the following vaccines within 14 days to 6 months after the last dose.

    -SINOVAC BIOTECH: 2 DOSES
    -SINOPHARM: 2 DOSES
    -COMIRNATY (Pfizer/Biontech): 2 DOSES
    -VAXZEVRIA (Astrazeneca/Oxford): 2 DOSES
    -COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen / Johnson and Johnson: 1 DOSAGE
    -SPUTNIK V: 2 DOSES
    -MODERNA: 2 DOSES  
 
COUNTRIES WITH THE DELTA VARIANT:
-The “DELTA” Variant has been evaluated by the WHO as “Variants of Concern”; VOCs”. These variants are;
-Variants that are highly contagious or that may adversely affect the epidemiology of COVID-19.
-Variants that may have increased morbidity or may cause a change in the clinical picture, or
-Variants that reduce the effectiveness of public health measures or that may reduce the effectiveness of existing diagnostic tests, vaccines or drugs; as defined.

-A person who has had the disease can submit a positive PCR test result done between 30-180 days before travel.

-Children under the age of 18 will be able to enter the country with their vaccinated parents in accordance with the PCR test rules (children over 6 years old) according to the country category they come from.
 
-Passengers will be evaluated according to the country in the highest risk group among the countries they have set foot/ been in, in the last 10 days.

2. Border crossings within the island will be as stated below.

   - Level 1 (Green): No tests, no restrictions
   - Level 2 (Orange): Negative Antigen/PCR test every 7 days
    -Level 3 (Red): Passes are restricted.

-Must have PCR testing done in the last 72 hours to pass for health reasons, transfers due to work, education and residence. Must also have Negative Antigen/PCR test every 7 days.

*Passengers will be evaluated according to the country in the highest risk group among the countries they have set foot/ been in, in the last 10 days.

3. Persons who need to be quarantine according to the above criteria will be able to spend 10-14 days of quarantine at the specified residence addresses with their wristbands, provided that they show their address in the country and download the "Stay Safe Application" before coming to the country.  
-In order to pass the quarantine period, they will go to their residence addresses either alone or accompanied by a driver, or by public transportation, taxi, touristic minibus permitted vehicles determined by the Ministry of Finance. People over the age of 65 and people who go abroad with the board for health reasons will be able to download the "Stay Safe Application" after they arrive in the country.

-Children under the age of 12 will not be fitted with wristbands.

-Persons who do not comply with the above-mentioned rules, do not show their address of residence in our country and who want to come to our country will stay in central quarantine for 10-14 days, depending on the country they come from, in designated central quarantine hotels.

It is recommended that people who do not comply with the home quarantine rules be sent to the central quarantine, pay the quarantine fees themselves, and penal action is initiated against them in accordance with the relevant legislation.

4. People who have contact with a Covid-19 positive person in the country that require quarantine will be subject to quarantine for 10 days. At the end of 10 days, if the PCR test result to be taken from the contact persons is negative, the isolation periods will be terminated. 

-Double-vaccinated persons who have contact with a Covid-19 positive person requiring quarantine will be subject to quarantine for 7 days. The contact unit will decide on the quarantine process with the wristband of the contacts related to health reasons  

5. It is deemed necessary to accept passengers on flights to be organized in the country with a maximum of 10 flights per day and a maximum of 2 flights per day and 250 passengers (excluding soldiers) on flight.
 
6. Sea cruising boats will continue to serve as one third of their capacity.
 
7. Higher Education Institutions can be opened within the scope of the plan to be made by the Ministry of National Education and Culture. Students coming from abroad will be able to enter according to the specified country entry criteria. 
 
-Libraries will be able to continue their activities by observing social distance, mask and hygiene rules.
 
8. Apprentice students have been deemed appropriate to start their education in the workplace depending on the sectors opened. 
 
9. Public transportation will be available in all districts within and between districts. Passengers will not be admitted to the driver's side of the vehicles engaged in transportation. In buses, minibuses and minibuses, passengers will be transported with a seating arrangement so that one of the back seats of the driver's seat is empty, and 50% capacity will be operated with one empty and one full.

-During the journey, the windows will be open, air conditioning will not be used and everyone in the vehicle will wear a mask. 
 
10. UN, EU, British Bases Area, Buffer Zone, Missing Persons and Peace Corps staff will be able to enter without quarantine, provided that they present negative PCR/antigen test results made within the last 7 days.

11. Barbers, hairdressers, beauty salons and tattoo studios / salons will continue their work between 7:00am and 8:00pm.
 
12. A maximum of one third of the outdoor and indoor areas of restaurants, patisseries, cafes and taverns will continue to be used. Live music can be played in the open areas of restaurants, patisseries, cafes and taverns.

-Bars and Clubs, on the other hand will continue their activities provided that maximum one-third of their outdoor and indoor areas are used.

14. Persons who will enter the country due to IVF treatment will be processed according to the entry criteria specified in Article 1 and Article 2. People who are planned to go from quarantine hotels to IVF Centers for treatment will be taken from the quarantine hotel for 3-4 hours with negative PCR test results or antigen in the last 72 hours and then return to the quarantine hotel after treatment.

15. It has been deemed appropriate for professional artists to perform their theater / concert / exhibition work / rehearsals in accordance with the hygiene rule. The performances will be held with a maximum of one third of the halls occupied. Social distance, mask rule will be followed. Everyone who will take part in the hall must have negative PCR tests done within the last 72 hours.
 
16. It has been deemed appropriate to perform folk dances in open areas, provided that masks and hygiene rules are followed.

17. Only one third of the movie theaters will be used, and there will be no eating or drinking in the theaters.

18. Indoor sports halls (fitness, individual) will be able to continue their activities within the framework of the conditions specified in the letter of undertaking. These halls will be able to start serving from 6:00am.

19. Mass worship will be held in compliance with social distance, masks and hygiene rules and by using a maximum of one third of the closed areas to be worshiped.  

20. It has been decided to hold engagement, wedding, wedding and circumcision ceremonies to be held in the open area within the framework of the rules specified in the undertaking to be prepared.

21. It has been deemed appropriate that activities such as amusement parks, festival areas, tombola etc. should be set up in open areas, taking into account the social distance rules.

22. It has been decided that the indoor playgrounds and indoor playgrounds will be opened on the condition that they sign the contract to be prepared and the employees make a PCR test once a week as of 03.06.2021.
 
23. Bet offices will be able to continue their activities within the framework of the conditions specified. One third of the closed areas of the offices will be able to be operated. Food service will not be provided at Bet offices.
