Face-to-Face education to start in Fall Semester, students must complete their student immigration permit

The TRNC Council of Ministers has taken a decision regarding the "regulation of education and course attendance conditions" in higher education for the new academic period.

For this purpose, the government decided to carry out practices in TRNC universities, limited to the Fall semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year, and to make the necessary supervision and guidance by YODAK to carry out the process in line with these practices.

According to the decisions taken; Admission and registration procedures for the Fall semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year will be extended until the end of December 2021, taking into account the postponement of international/national exams based on the epidemic and/or force majeure when existing students come to the TRNC from different countries.

Also; No registration will be made outside of the registration periods determined for Turkish students.

After the education starts, students who will come to the TRNC and enroll in the university will be provided with the opportunity to continue their education by applying make-up programs to be determined and scheduled by the relevant committees of the universities.

For students who arrive in the TRNC to continue their education, a face-to-face (diluted) education model will be applied in order to effectively ensure both social distance and hygiene conditions within the scope of existing physical opportunities during the epidemic.

In the TRNC, where the face-to-face (diluted) education model will be implemented, active higher education students will have to be in the TRNC in the Fall semester and complete their student immigration permit.

Students from all countries where there is no travel restriction for travel to the TRNC will be required to be in the TRNC in the Fall semester.

For students who cannot come to the country due to the lack of transportation due to the COVID-19 Global Epidemic, the classes will be conducted online with the support education method.

Universities will be able to decide on the education model that they will implement by their authorized committees in the 2020-2021 Summer term.

Also; According to the development course of the global epidemic, changes may be made in these decisions.
