NANS president, Turkish Zone call out Turkish woman for directing racial slur at two students over issues with her daughters in a cafe

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Turkish Zone, out going president, Comrade, Gideon Jude, has responded to a racist comment made by a Turkish Cypriot woman directed at two Africans.

Comrade Gideon in a public statement on Monday, July, 5 called on Ozlem Ozbekoglu who happened to be the Director of Magic Touch Printing and associated with Magic Plus Residence to tender a public apology for derogatory statement used against two African students which was found to be Generalized, Demeaning, Inappropriate and Racist and also urge Africans in the country to boycott her business which rely solely on Africans for survival.
 
Ozlem Ozbekoglu at the weekend, on Saturday, July, 3 went on social media to call out two black boys for verbally abusing her daughters while they were eating in a cafe.
 
Özlem went on to complain about the increasing ‘black population’ in TRNC and used derogatory words that refereed to Africans as ‘dogs’, filthy, and ‘ahlaksiz serefsiz zencu takimi' (morally depraved niggas). 
 
Jude who strongly condemned Ms. Özlem insensitivity and outright racism went further to declare Magic Touch Printing & Magic Plus Residence as unsafe for All Africans adding that the Association cannot trust the lives of it's members in the hands of Ignorant, Insensitive and exploitative bigots.
 
The president also demand that;

1. A written Apology from Ms. Özlem Özbekoğlu for making generalized derogatory statements against African students & Workers in TRNC.

2. A public statement from the TRNC Government particularly the Ministry of Education and/or Ministry of Interior condemning statements made by Ms. Özlem Özbekoğlu.

3. All TRNC Universities and/or the North Cyprus Universities Association make a public statement condemning the statements made by Ms. Özlem Özbekoğlu.

4. We demand that the TRNC government institute laws and penalties for Hate Speech.

5. We demand that censorship for media release (especially newspapers) and penalties for the publication of INSENSITIVE and RACIALLY DISCRIMINATORY CONTENTS.  

***All African students/workers and other foreigners should as a matter of urgency boycott her business.
