TRNC government extends partial curfew until August, 17

The TRNC Council of Ministers has extended the night time partial curfew from 12:00am to 5:00am for another week in line with its fight against COVID-19.

According to the decision that was published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, the partial curfew imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country will continue to be enforced between midnight and 5:00am until August, 17th, 2021

Within the framework of the decisions announced by the Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases, private sector employees working to meet basic needs and employees such as police officers, fire department, municipality, civil defense services, health workers and those working in similar sectors will be exempt from the decisions.

Those who do not comply with the rules will be penalized.
