Drunk driver speeds by traffic light in Lefkosa, crash with another car

A drunk driver who was involved in an accident in Lefkosa in the early hours of Sunday morning was lucky to escape unhurt.

The accident happened at about 3:11am on Sunday morning when a 28-year-old Zimbabwean who was driving under the influence of alcohol carelessly beat the traffic light on the round about at Dr. Fazıl Küçük street,while on speed.

The 28-year-old who was driving under the influence of 235mlgr of alcohol in his system got to a traffic light on the Prison road. Instead of reducing his speed and wait while the traffic light was on red, he carelessly continued on his way and in the process crashed unto another car.

No one was injured in the incident that would have been easily avoided.
