Record 220 new cases of coronavirus reported in TRNC on Tuesday, 191 are local cases
A record number of coronavirus cases were recorded in northern Cyprus on Tuesday, November, 16, 2021 as 220 new cases were reported bringing the total number of cases there so far to 24,951.
27,376 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 220 new cases were confirmed.
The last record cases recorded was 199 in August.
5 of the cases came to the TRNC from abroad, 24 persons came in contact with previous cases who are under surveillance, and 191 were local cases.
Of the cases, 86 were from Lefkosa, 64 from Kyrenia, 37 from Famagusta, 1 from Lefke, 3 from Iskele and 5 from abroad.
109 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
